Parents’ Evening

We will be holding a Parents’ Evening on Wednesday, 25th October from 3.30 to 7.00 pm.  Letters will be sent out next week to make an appointment to see your child’s teacher.

Halloween Dressing Up Day

On Friday, 27th October, we will be having a Halloween themed dressing up day.  A collection will be made in aid of the NSPCC.  This charity operates Childline and also comes into school to run assemblies on safeguarding issues, such as safer internet use.

Exemplar Education (formally Student Support Service)

Leaflets will be sent home on Monday regarding this on-line service.  We would be obliged if you would return the slip to school, even if you are not interested, as school receives resources depending on the number of replies.

Royal British Legion

Poppies in aid of the Royal British Legion will be available in school from Monday.  A minimum donation of 20p per poppy is recommended.  We will also have a limited supply of other items from the charity on sale as follow:

Wristbands and poppy reflectors for 50p
Friendship Bracelets and Snap Bands for £1.00

Please remember that children should not wear any jewellery to school other than stud earrings or a plain watch and school will not accept responsibility for any items that are brought in.  In addition, earrings must be removed for any PE as they can no longer be covered.  If your child cannot remove the earrings themselves, please ensure they do not come to school with earrings in on PE days.

This week’s winners are:

There were 55 lates recorded last week.  Please make sure your child arrives at school on time every day.  Late arrival not only affects your child’s education, but also disrupts the lessons and affects other children in the class too.
