Parents’ Evening will be held on Wednesday, 7th February, from 3.30 to 7.00 pm. Appointment letters have been sent out to Year 6 children and letters to the rest of school will be sent out on Monday.
We will be holding a Book Week during the week commencing 19th March. On Thursday, 22nd March, children will be asked to dress as a book character and on Friday 23rd March we will be having a visit from the Hobgoblin Theater Company. KS1 children will be watching “The Frog Prince” in the morning, with a drama workshop for Years 1 and 2 afterwards. KS2 children will be watching “Robin Hood” in the afternoon. A letter with further details will follow nearer the time.
Winter Olympics Lunch
There will be a promotional Winter Olympics themed lunch on Friday, 23rd February. If your child does not usually have a dinner, you can book this on Parent Pay by Sunday, 11th February. Please note you need to assign the money to the dinner service as well as booking the dinner on the day. No bookings can be accepted after this date.
We would remind you that we have several pupils in school with a nut allergy and therefore request that no nut products (including peanut butter) are used in packed lunches. In addition, we ask that packed lunches do not include sweets or fizzy drinks.
We have a lot of reports of unwanted visitors at present so please check your child’s head and treat if necessary. If treating by wet combing it is important to continue the combing for two weeks to ensure all the lice and eggs have been removed. To prevent the spread of lice please check your child’s head every week – don’t wait for symptoms. An advice sheet on treatment is available from the school office.
School will close for half-term on Friday, 9th February, at 3.15 pm and re-open on Monday, 19th February, at 8.50 am.
