Academy Conversion

We are still working towards conversion to academy status and hope to join the Mulberry Academy Trust on 1st April, 2018.  We will keep you informed of our progress.

Schools Alive

Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Schools Alive event at Blackpool Grand Theatre this week.  Their performance was very much enjoyed by everyone who saw it and our thanks go to Miss McGuire and her team of helpers for all their hard work.

Boxes Appeal

Year 1 would be very grateful for the donation of any shoeboxes, or other small boxes, that could be used for making models of 17th century houses.  These can be given to Year 1 teachers or handed into the Infant Office as soon as possible after the holidays please.

Year 1 – 100th Day of School

On Monday, 19th February, our Year 1 children will be celebrating the 100th day of school.  To mark this special occasion, the number 100 will be the inspiration for all their lessons.  Children in Year 1 are asked to bring something that represents 100 eg an old t-shirt decorated with 100 patterns, a collection of 100 objects (cotton wool, straws, leaves, pennies etc).  Please see the class blogs for further ideas.

Request for Jumble

Marton Church will be holding a Jumble Sale soon and are requesting donations of clothes, shoes, bags, bric-a-brac, baby and children’s clothing, equipment and toys.  Goods can be picked up on request by calling Ann on 698278 or can be dropped off in the Church Hall if it is open.
