There were 68 lates recorded this week but well done to Class 5C who had no lates. Doors open at 8.50 am and all children should be in class ready to start the school day at 9.00 am.

Christmas Elf Events

2020 Primary School Admission

If your child’s 4th birthday falls between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020, then you will need to apply for their primary school place.

Just a reminder that the closing date for 2020 school admission applications is Wednesday 15th January 2020. Do not wait until the final day to submit your application, just in case of computer failure.

Emily Laws Performing Arts After School Club

If your child is in Year 1-6 and they are interested in attending, it is important to book early as spaces are limited to 30.

The club will be run within the school building on Wednesdays, until 4.30 pm and will provide professional tuition in a variety of skills such as acting, improvisation, speaking, mime and musical theatre.

The cost of this club is £27 for this half term payable by cash or cheque (made payable to ‘Emily Laws’) which should be brought to the Infant Office as soon as possible if you would like your child to take part.

The children are working towards a production of ‘Frozen’ which the parents of performers will be invited to attend.

Junior History Event

Blackpool Council are running a free, 30 minute Storytime with a costumed character which ties in with Key Stage 2 history projects, although can cover Geography and R.E. elements depending on the subject.

The session is aimed at 6-11 year olds, but is open to all interested in history.

During the Storytime there is show and tell with items linked to the story and time period and afterwards a 15 minute question time where the children get to interact with the historical character and think about life in the historical time.

Blackpool Parents Forum Event March 2020

Blackpool Parents Forum have organised an event on Wednesday 11th March 2020.

Venue:  Blackpool Football Ground

Time:  10 am – 2 pm

Lunch and car parking are included

This is an event for Parents and Carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (children and young people are also welcome to attend but please note, no crèche facilities are available).
