Stanley Book Week 2022 ‘You Are a Reader’ – Monday 28th February to Friday 4th March
This will be an exciting week of book activities here at Stanley. There will be fun reading challenges, art and photo competitions that the year groups will share via Seesaw.
On Friday 4th March, children can come to school dressed as their favourite story character. We are really looking forward to seeing what the children choose!
Many of you have reported in to us that, aside from the main symptoms of loss of taste/smell, a cough and a high temperature, symptoms for the children have been around headaches, upset stomachs and general cold symptoms so we urge you to continue to be vigilant for Covid over the half term break.
If you or a member of your family begin to experience symptoms, please book in for a PCR test.
Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
