Junior House Point Winners

Our winners this time are Team Yellow! For winning, Team Yellow can come to school in non-uniform on Monday. Please be mindful that we are due very hot weather so please dress children in loose, cool clothing for the day. Thank you.

Last Day Treat

On the last day we will be treating every child in school with an ice lolly. If you would rather your child not have one, please let us know ASAP.

For your information, the ice lollies will be Mr Freeze Freezepops variety pack – Tropical, Lemonade, Strawberry, Cola, Raspberry. They are gluten free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Current Weather

We are expecting high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday so we will be taking some extra precautions with the children to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible.

The children are welcome to come to school on Monday and Tuesday in their school PE kit, if you feel this will make them feel more comfortable. You may feel that their summer dresses, school shorts/t-shirts are cooler. Please choose the most suitable option for your child.

Sandals are not appropriate, or safe, footwear for school.

Second Hand Uniform Event

We will be holding our Second Hand Uniform Event out on the Infant Yard on Monday from 3pm and, if there are any items leftover, we will put a stall out on Tuesday at 3pm too.

SPORTING ACHEIVEMENTS

We are so pleased to have had so many sporting activities recently and our Stanley pupils have really made us proud.

Cross-Country

James Ridge, Schools Active Lives Co-ordinator visited school this week to present our Cross-Country team medals and trophies as they have been awarded the overall winner position across Blackpool primary sector!

Football

Our Y3 & 4 team did a fantastic job in the Armfield Tournament and came in second place!

Within our Y5 & Y6 inter-class competition our winners were 6M!

Taekwondo

Some children from school have passed their Taekwondo gradings and we are hugely proud of them.-

Summer Holidays

Please remember that school will close at 3.15pm on Thursday 21st July 2022 for our summer break and we will re-open at 8.50am on Monday 5th September 2022.

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
