Changeable Weather

As the weather is very changeable at the moment, please continue to send your child to school with a coat or jacket every day.

There will hopefully be more sunny days approaching so we would ask that you send your child in with the following items (all clearly named):

  • Sun cream – your child will need to be able to apply this themselves (we recommend a roll-on type as they may find this easier to apply)
  • Sun hats
  • Lots of water to drink

Sandals are not appropriate, or safe, footwear for school.

Football Teams

We have had some great football matches over the past few weeks, the girls’ and boys’ teams have played really well and are a credit to the school.

Cross Country

Unfortunately, the final event that our team were due to compete in was cancelled but they have had some fantastic results and we are hoping to receive overall results very soon. We will update you all as soon as we can!

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
