Changeable Weather

As the weather is very changeable at the moment, please continue to send your child to school with a coat or jacket every day.

There will hopefully be more sunny days approaching so we would ask that you send your child in with the following items (all clearly named):

  • Sun cream – please apply before school and then your child will need to be able to apply this themselves during the school day (we recommend a roll-on type as they may find this easier to apply)
  • Sun hats
  • Lots of water to drink

Sandals are not appropriate, or safe, footwear for school.

Second Hand Uniform

Please remember to drop any pre-loved, clean uniform and coats at the office.

At the end of the term, we will text out when, we will put clean pre-loved items outside on a table – please feel free to help yourself.

Sports Days

Please see below the provisional sports days and times for this year – these are, of course, weather dependent:

  • Reception –   2.00pm Friday 8th July
  • Year 1 –          2.00pm Thursday 7th July
  • Year 2 –          2.00pm Monday 4th July
  • Years 3 & 4 – 1.45pm Wednesday 6th July
  • Years 5 & 6 – 1.45pm Tuesday 5th July

We hope as many of you as possible can attend to cheer the children on. Please send your child to school in their PE kit on their Sports Day.

Year 1 – 6 – These children will be moving around different activities; therefore, you will be able to move in the spectator area to watch your child but we ask that you stay within this area.

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
