Book week will take place week beginning 11th March and the theme will be “Stepping into Another World”. KS1 will have a performance from the Hobgobling Theatre Co on Thursday, 14th March, and KS2 will watch M & M Theatre Co on the Friday. We are requesting a donation of £2.50 for each of these performances and this can be paid on Parent Pay or at the local shop with a letter from the school office.
On Friday, 15th March, all children can dress as a book character, preferably as a fantasy or historical character to fit in with the theme for the week. Please note this event is not in aid of charity and there will be no collection made.
Parents’ Evening will be held on Thursday, 7th March from 3.30 to 7.00 pm. You should already have received a letter regarding making an appointment and, if you have returned this, an appointment time will be sent out to you soon if you have not already had one.
BBC Breakfast Survey
As part of the on-going monitoring of the Blackpool Council’s Free School Breakfast Programme in Blackpool (our children are currently supplied with fruit only on this scheme), once a term we will be asking pupils attending this school some simple questions regarding what they had for breakfast on a certain date. We will also be using data we hold on children within the school as part of this study. All information will be aggregated, and no one child, or their answers, will be identifiable within the analysis. If, for any reason, you wish for your child not to take part in the monitoring, can you please let us know, and we will ensure that they are not included.
Welfare Assistant Vacancy
We currently have a vacancy for a Welfare Assistant to work lunch time, 11.50 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Please contact the Infant Office for further details and an application form.
