Thank You

We would like to extend our thanks to all parents and pupils for your help with adhering to the current Covid-19 guidelines. We appreciate how difficult things are in general at the moment so we are grateful to have been able to be here with/for your children for the entire half term and thank you for your support in keeping us up to date with any illnesses/absences etc.

For all our isolating children – we have missed you and we look forward to seeing you all back in school on Tuesday, 3rd November for the final half term of 2020.

Half Term

We are now closed for half term and will return on Tuesday 3rd November, 2020, with doors opening at 8:45am for registration at 9am.  We would just like to remind you all that Blackpool is currently in the Coronavirus Tier 3 restriction category, therefore households should not be meeting indoors or in gardens, or in any hospitality venue.

If, over the half term break, your child develops Covid symptoms please obtain a test. If the result of the test is positive please advise school as soon as possible via admin@stanley.blackpool.sch.uk

If you need a test visit www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119 for advice.

Please be mindful that if any person within your household begins to show symptoms, you must all self-isolate – the person with symptoms for 10 days from the day the symptoms began, the rest of the household for 14 days from the day the symptoms began.

School Photographs

The photographs taken on Monday are being brought home by your child tonight. If you wish to order a copy, please do so online where possible.

The photographers will be returning to school on Wednesday 4th November to take photographs of the children who are currently isolating, were absent on picture day or their sibling slip was not returned in time – this slip is still required if you wish for siblings to be photographed together.

If this is usually your child’s PE day, please send them in in their uniform and not their PE kit.

Flu Immunisation (Nasal Spray)

Reminder for parents that the annual flu immunisation is booked for Thursday 5th November, to be undertaken here at school.

If your NHS consent form has not yet been returned then alternative arrangements will need to be made by yourself for your child’s immunisation as the NHS will not provide this here at school without the written consent form.

Northern Taekwondo

We are pleased to note that Northern Taekwondo will be returning to our school after Half Term.

Please click here for information regarding their classes and click here to review their Covid Risk Assessment document.

Packed Lunches

Please be reminded that the children are NOT permitted to have the following in their packed lunches:-

  • Fizzy drinks
  • Chocolate bars
  • Sweets

Harvest Celebrations

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to host our usual Harvest Assembly in school and collect donations of food.  Year 2 children are currently working on harvest celebrations within their class.  We would like to continue to show our support to local food charities by asking pupils to provide small donations of food that can be made directly to some of our local food charities (below). Thank you for your support.
