This week we recorded 47 late arrivals across the school. Well done to Classes 2X, 4Y, 5A, 5C and 6M who all arrived on time, all week.
Please do not send your child to school with a mobile phone unless they are essential for the walk to/from school.
Children have been seen taking photographs and/or recording videos/TikToks in/around the school grounds which they should not be doing. The children have been asked to keep their phones in the school bags while on the premises. Please, as always, continue to monitor your children on their on-line devises. Useful information to do this can be found at https://stanleyprimaryschool.com/a-parents-guide-to-discovering-digital-at-primary-school/
Only stud earrings are acceptable at school but please ensure that these are removed on your child’s P.E. day, or that they can remove the earrings themselves, as we cannot remove them or cover them, and they will therefore miss the lesson.
Christmas Cards & Jumpers
Unfortunately, due to the current COVID restrictions, we are unable to have any Christmas cards handed out in school this year. We understand that this is disappointing so there will be a chance to do something on Seesaw instead – information on this will follow soon on Seesaw.
We would like to invite our children to wear a Christmas jumper (with their uniform, in place of their school cardigan/jumper) from Friday 11th December through until the end of term (Friday 18th December).
Friday 11th December is the official Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children – we shall not be making a collection/taking donations in school but should you wish to make a donation yourself please visit the Save the Children website as there are many ways in which you can help.
Unfortunately, also due to the current COVID restrictions, children should not bring any items, such as sweets, to be handed out to the rest of the class for any reason.
School have purchased a virtual Christmas pantomime for the children which they will watch in school week beginning 14th December. We understand that things aren’t quite how they would normally be but we hope they will really enjoy this!
