We continue to experience new cases of COVID in both pupils and staff. We are very grateful for your support in isolating the children when they have a positive lateral flow test or receive a positive PCR result and we thank you for your communication with school.
Isolation periods can end when a lateral flow test is negative on day 5 and day 6 – tests must be taken 24 hours apart. Many of you have reported in to us that symptoms for the children have been around headaches, upset stomachs and general cold symptoms so we urge you to continue to be vigilant.
Staff in school will continue to wear face coverings in our communal spaces, as advised by Public Health for Blackpool, as infections in schools in the Borough remain high.
Please do not hesitate to get your child tested if any of the above symptoms present and let school know as soon as possible. Thank you.
We have been experiencing a lot of late arrivals recently, with 86 last week and 92 this week. No matter if your child is 2 minutes or 50 minutes late, it has a negative effect on their learning.
If your child is late they must be brought into the Office by yourself and a reason provided.
Thank you to all the parents who regularly bring their children to school on time and a well done to Classes 1KG and 5C who all arrived on time, all week.
Y4 & Y6 Cross Country
A huge well done to the children who competed in Cross Country at Stanley Park this week. They did themselves and Stanley proud and even brought back some medals!
We currently have a vacancy to be a member of our hard-working lunchtime team. Hours of work are 5 hours 50 minutes per week between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, depending on the year group you are working with. Please contact the School Office on 01253 763601 for further details and an application form.
Applications will close next Friday, 4th February 2022.
No medicine should be left with your child (prescription or non-prescription) – in their bag, coat pocket etc. If your child requires prescription medication within the school day, you are required to bring it to the Office where you will be asked to complete a Permission to Administer Medicine form.

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
