This week’s winners are:

RB       99.33%          RS     98.62%         1P    97.59%
4M       100%             6M     98.71%         4Y    98.62%

A huge well done to Class 4M who not only achieved 100% attendance this week but also received no late marks!

There were a total of 92 lates recorded over the week which is completely unacceptable but well done to Class 5P who, together with Class 4M, had no lates this week.

Please make sure your child arrives at school in good time every morning, as lessons start promptly at 9.00 am and late arrival means your child misses out on their education and disrupts the rest of the class.

Book Week – 9th – 13th March

The theme of our Book Week this year is ‘Share a Story’.

  • Monday 9th – Friday 13th The Travelling Book Fair will be in school again from 3.20 pm – 4.00 pm. Come and browse the latest books and spend your book tokens!
  • Thursday 12th – we are very excited to welcome the Hobgoblin Theatre back into school! This year they will be performing Jack and the Beanstalk to KS1 followed by exciting drama workshops for Years 1 and 2.
  • Friday 13th – We will have our popular Book Week Fancy Dress competition! Dress up as your favourite book character – or even as the whole book!
  • Friday afternoon – The very entertaining M&M Theatre will be performing The Wizard of Oz to KS2 which we know will be a very enjoyable day for all of our children and even (Ssh, don’t tell) all the adults as well!

The productions are available to book and pay for via your Parent Pay account – many thanks to those who have already contributed. Barcoded letters are available from the office, if required.

Competition Time!

Take a photo of yourself reading in an unusual location. There will be a prize for the best wacky reading photograph! Enjoy art activities on your days off? Make, paint or draw:-

a) a book cover of your favourite book
b) a diorama (in a shoe box) of your favourite book
c) a book character (from any materials you choose)

Please bring these in to your class teacher in time for judging to take place in Book Week.
