Parents’ Evening

Many thanks for all parents who attended our parents’ evening this week – either virtually or in person. It was a great turn out.

Times Tables Rock Star – Winners

As a reward for winning their Year Group Battle, Classes 4A and 4Y can wear non-uniform on Monday, 9th May.

 Remembering Jordan

Next Wednesday 11th May will be the one year anniversary of the tragic event when we lost a member of our Stanley family. Jordan was a bright, bubbly pupil loved by staff and pupils and is missed every day.

Together with his family we would like to raise money for Brian House in his memory. On Friday 13th May children are invited to come to school in football kits or any brightly coloured sport kit. We invite you to make donations to Brian House through the Just Giving Page – please click here.

Jubilee Lunch – 24th May 2022

On Tuesday 24th May there will be a Jubilee lunch for all pupils as part of the Jubilee Celebrations. If your child does not normally have a school meal and would like a Jubilee Lunch, please book and pay on Parent Pay (no payment is required if you are entitled to Universal Free School Meals (Reception to Year 2) or the Council Free School Meal Benefit) by Tuesday 17th May.

Please note, the meal needs to be selected on Parent Pay – just paying money in does not book the meal. Your child is obviously still welcome to bring a packed lunch with them. Thank you.

For more information on the Jubilee Celebrations please click here.

Uniform Note

As the weather is getting warmer and the children are playing on the grass, we suggest you consider that girls are sent to school wearing shorts under their skirts/summer dresses.

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
