Sports Days

We were delighted to see so many family members coming out to support the children this week at their Sports Days. It was fantastic to be able to hold these events, after what seems like forever!

End of Year Reports

Your child should have brought home their End of Year Report today. If they didn’t, please let us know.

Changeable Weather

As the weather is very changeable at the moment, please continue to send your child to school with a coat or jacket every day.

There will hopefully be more sunny days approaching so we would ask that you send your child in with the following items (all clearly named):

  • Sun cream – please apply before school and then your child will need to be able to apply this themselves during the school day (we recommend a roll-on type as they may find this easier to apply)
  • Sun hats
  • Lots of water to drink

Sandals are not appropriate, or safe, footwear for school.

TimesTables Rockstars Winners – 3O

Congratulations to Class 3O who have won the latest Year 3 ‘TimesTables Rockstars Battle Tour’. The children in Class 3O have taken part and worked really hard, at home, to win the latest Battle Tour.

As winners of the Battle Tour on Friday 15th July the children have decided they would like a pyjama day, so all the children in Class 3O can come to school in their pyjamas. As the children will still be playing outside please can you make sure they wear appropriate footwear. Well done.

Second Hand Uniform

Please remember to drop any pre-loved, clean uniform and coats at the office.

At the end of the term, we will text out when, we will put clean pre-loved items outside on a table – please feel free to help yourself.

Medication

Please do not send medication in with your child, this is unsafe.

All medications need to be brought to the office by an adult (and collected the same way) and a Permission to Administer Medicine form completed in order for us to give medicine to your child.

All medicines need to be prescribed to your child by a doctor, with a clear prescription label. There are some medicines that we are unable to administer within school. Please contact the Office if you need to discuss. Thank you.

Summer Holidays

Please remember that school will close at 3.15pm on Thursday 21st July 2022 for our summer break.

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
