New Reception Starter Supplement in the Gazette

A photographer from the Blackpool Gazette is visiting the school on 12th October to take a photograph of our new Reception starters for their New Starter Supplement. We will let you know when this will be available in the Gazette as soon as we have confirmation.

Many thanks to all parents who have given consent for their child/ren to use this application. If you have not yet given consent, we would appreciate if you could contact the Infant/Junior Office.

We ask that parents do not share pictures/videos from this application on any social media platform if the picture/video has other children present. This is for the safeguarding of all of our pupils.

Drop off/Collection Reminder for Parents

Please can all parents refrain from waiting for their child/ren right outside their classroom door/window. This is very distracting for the whole class and the children are learning right up until school ends at 3.15pm.

For the safety of yourselves and the children, please do not cut through the car parks to get to/from your pick up point – use the public footpath – and do not allow your child/ren to run around the car park whilst you wait for the doors to open.

Please can only one adult drop off and collect the children as our playgrounds and surrounding areas are becoming congested at these times making social distancing very difficult.

The school water fountains are out of use so all children need to bring a named bottle of water with them to drink, as well as an additional drink if they have a home packed lunch.

School Photographs

Photographs of all children will be taken individually on Monday, 19th October.  Letters have been sent home today so please return the slip if you wish a photo of your  children taken together.

Please send all children to school with an appropriate coat as the weather is very changeable at the moment and is getting cold.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass now operates throughout Lancashire police force. It helps police and schools work together to provide emotional and practical help to children. The system ensures that when police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, where there are children in the household who have experienced the domestic incident, the police will inform the school (Miss Manson) before the child or children arrive the following day. This ensures that the school has up to date relevant information about the child’s circumstances and can enable support to be given to the child.
