Y6 Parents’ Evening Wednesday 4th May 2022 (virtual) and Thursday 5th May 2022 (face-to-face)
Thank you for your patience in waiting for the booking system for Parents’ Evening to go live. We have had a new information management system installed in Stanley over Easter and it has taken some time to update systems such as School Cloud.
Appointments are available for booking virtually on Wednesday 4th May 2022 and face-to-face on Thursday 5th May 2022 with your child’s Maths teacher and also your child’s English teacher. As we are offering the option of face-to-face or virtual meeting, bookings will be on a first come, first-served basis.
Please note that if you have another child in Stanley in RL, 1KG or 3M your booking days will differ slightly due to staffing availability. As you will have two appointments for your Y6 child we urge you to choose the virtual option to help support appointments being close to each other and being more efficient for you, there is also greater availability for Y6 parents virtually on Wednesday 4th May for your convenience.
The system should allow you to book either a face-to-face parents’ evening appointment which will take place in school or a virtual appointment which you can join remotely (in the same way you joined virtual parents’ evenings previously). The format of the meeting whether you have a face-to-face meeting or a virtual meeting will be exactly the same and with the same timings.
You will receive a booking confirmation once you have made your booking with a link to join the meeting at the allocated time. It is extremely important that you are on the link just prior to the meeting so you can join when your time starts. Many parents preferred the virtual Parents’ evening option as it gives you the flexibility to join the meeting without having to arrange to come to school and can be taken from anywhere using your SMART phone or other digital device.
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, please come to the school office just prior to your appointment time.
If you have a child in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6, please come to the door that Year 3 enter in the mornings, which is the former junior office entrance just prior to your appointment.
You will notice that the appointment times are not in the usual format of five-minute intervals and it may seem strange that the system has booked your appointment at e.g. 15.36 or 15.42, this is because it allows time for teachers and parents to move between appointments whether virtual or face-to face. It is very important that appointment times are adhered to so that all parents and teachers receive their time to have their discussion. Failure to do this will result in a missed appointment.
Thank you and we look forward to you attending either virtually or face-to-face.
