Harvest Festival 2022

Each year at Harvest time, Stanley school likes to show our support to local charities by asking our pupils to provide small donations of food or toiletries. As well as helping others in need, this teaches the children how to be a kind and charitable member of the community. These donations can be brought into school with the, children or dropped off in the foyer of the office anytime up until Wednesday 12th October 2022.

On this date, Class 2X will be hosting an assembly for the school in support of this festival. This year, our donations will be sent to the Blackpool charity Streetlife.

Food donations we receive go towards food parcels made for young people. Before giving to us, please ensure that anything donated is non-perishable, and still ‘in date’. Items include:

  • Juice
  • Coffee
  • Water
  • Tinned Meat
  • Tinned Fish

Similarly to food parcels, we also accept donations of bathroom items to make toiletry parcels. Please be aware we cannot make use of products that have been previously opened. Items include:

  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Razor
  • Shaving foam

There are also many other ways for people to support Streetlife, including becoming a volunteer – find out by looking online.
