Science Day in Year 3
Class: Year 3 Year: 2024 - 2025
We had a great Science Day in Year 3.
First we watched a live lesson about farming and how different animals breeds have adapted to living on different farming locations.
Then we attended an assembly with John Vale from 'The Creepy Crawlie Roadshow' who was very knowledgeable and talked to us about the adaptations many creatures have - he even brought some along to show us and some lucky (but brave!) children were chosen to hold them!
We completed a matching activity thinking about which adaptations belonged to which animals before thinking of some of our own.
Finally, we looked at how materials change by participating in an investigation to see which materials we should flush? It involved lots of water and lots of shaking! Our results told us we should only flush tissue and toilet roll, not bkue roll, paper towels, baby wipes or kitchen roll!
